The patented OSSforce™ Implant Controller is a unique bipolar current heating device developed by BioMedical Enterprises, Inc. BME has become the world leader in shape changing orthopaedic implants that utilize an electrical heating to control shape memory phenomenon. The unit is designed to heat our Nitinol implants without tissue damage while giving the surgeon the ability to control the amount of dynamic residual compression placed at the site of fixation. The unit features two control knobs of time and power that can be adjusted to a given setting depending on the patient and the surgeon’s style of fixation. This technology is just one of the many abilities that set BME above the rest.
